Breaking News: Water Main Break

Be safe. Boil your water until the advisory is officially lifted.
If you live in our area, you know that the water main break is the big local story currently. For most of that means no drinking of tap water or cooking with it until possibly Friday unless you boil it first. Businesses are impacted and everyone is inconvenienced. The information linked here is subject to change so keep checking major news sources for the latest. Play it safe and be grateful that we have it so much better than Puerto Rico, Florida, and Houston. — And let’s not forget Flint, Michigan!
A water distribution center has been established at Keith Sports Park at 2750 Keith Rd in West Bloomfield Twp. Tested drinkable well water is available to residents who bring their own container(s). Please limit use to ten gallons per visit. The area will be staffed with West Bloomfield Police Officers and was made available through the efforts of Township Supervisor Steve Kaplan, Clerk Debbie Binder, Treasurer Teri Weingarden, Water Director Ed Happala and Parks and Rec Exec Director Jennifer Tucker.
